Stay With Me Chapter Twenty Two I have the whole weekend ahead of me and not a single thing to do. Taylor has recently been freed from the prison we call a home despite our fathers new tactic of controlling every aspect of our lives and Joe... well, enough said. I feel as if I havent breathed properly in weeks and the realisation of how much I depended on mine and Joe's friendship hit me hard. I must see him soon, I need to disregard all thoughts of "what could have been" and focus on the one thing I truely need back: my best friend. I quickly changed from my pajamas pulling on a pair of denim blue shorts and a sleeveless shirt. I glanced at my hair in the mirror, it was still slightly damp from my shower and the curls that were rippling through it didn't seem too unruley so I just pulled on some shoes and headed for the door. Just the thought of seeing Joe made my stomach flip and as I forced myself to march up the familiar path towards Joe's house I couldn't decide whether! it was a pleasant feeling or not. It's almost 12 o'clock and I wonder if he'll even be awake yet. The driveway is empty which means both his parents are out, presuming they're both still together and live there. Who knows what could of happened since we last spoke! I shuffle from one foot to the other, postponing my ringing of the door bell.
