Stay With Me Chapter Twenty Two I have the whole weekend ahead of me and not a single thing to do. Taylor has recently been freed from the prison we call a home despite our fathers new tactic of controlling every aspect of our lives and Joe... well, enough said. I feel as if I havent breathed properly in weeks and the realisation of how much I depended on mine and Joe's friendship hit me hard. I must see him soon, I need to disregard all thoughts of "what could have been" and focus on the one thing I truely need back: my best friend. I quickly changed from my pajamas pulling on a pair of denim blue shorts and a sleeveless shirt. I glanced at my hair in the mirror, it was still slightly damp from my shower and the curls that were rippling through it didn't seem too unruley so I just pulled on some shoes and headed for the door. Just the thought of seeing Joe made my stomach flip and as I forced myself to march up the familiar path towards Joe's house I couldn't decide whether! it was a pleasant feeling or not. It's almost 12 o'clock and I wonder if he'll even be awake yet. The driveway is empty which means both his parents are out, presuming they're both still together and live there.
